The series will kick off Dec. 14 with a special sneak preview screening of "On the Road" with Salles in attendance, at 8 pm. It will then explore a variety of films from past decades, ranging from Edward G. Ulmer's noir "Detour" to John Ford's Western "The Searchers" and Wim Wender's "Alice in the City," among many more. In addition, a number of Salles' own road films will be showcased, including the Oscar-nominated "Central Station" and "The Motorcycle Diaries." Salles will be in attendence at select screenings to provide introductions.
